What we do

To further our efforts in infant mortality reduction, as well as improve the health of women and children statewide, Foundation activities are concentrated in five distinct areas:

• Community Grants Program 2008-09 - In celebration of the Foundation's 20th year, grants were distributed to over 80 organizations and government agencies totalling $140,000.
  
  
• Statewide Public Education Campaigns
  Programs designed to increase public awareness and involvement.
  
  
• Materials Development and Distribution
  Creation and dissemination of educational materials, free of charge, to individuals and organizations across the state
  
  
• Technical Assistance
  Providing professional training and technical assistance to public and private organizations
  
  
• Advocacy
  Advising policymakers on issues pertaining to the health of women and children
