NC General Assembly passes budget and appropriates $6.6 million additional ollars for NC Health Choice for children!

(7/04) --On Sunday, July 18th, the NC General Assembly approved the state budget for FY 04-05 which includes an additional $6.6 million dollars for the NC Health Choice for Children Program!

As a result, the Division of Medical Assistance has confirmed that closing the program to new enrollees has been postponed indefinitely. We are hopeful that the program will be able to operate within budget through the beginning of the next fiscal year, but future decisions regarding a cap on enrollment will depend on the rate of program expenditures.
