New! Making Ends Meet: A North Carolina Resource Guide
(03/09) In tough economic times, many families need help in meeting their basic needs. To aid families and the professionals who serve them, a new publication entitled "Making Ends Meet – A North Carolina Resource Guide" was developed. The guide is intended to help NC families link to community resources for emergency services, food, housing, health care, tax credits, child care, money matters, and a broad range of community services. This downloadable guide is free to print or distribute to families, employees, and anyone in your community who works with families.
Within the next couple of months a small supply of these booklets will be printed. A copy will be mailed to every Health Check Coordinator to serve as a desk reference. There will also be a supply of these booklets distributed to families through care coordinators / case managers.
In the meantime, we are posting this booklet online for local use by families and professionals. You will find a copy of this booklet on the HC/NCHC Outreach Web Site under “Resources” (left tool bar). We hope you will find this a useful tool in helping families link to the services they need.
