2004 NC Health Choice handbook now available online

(6/04) -- Both the 2004 NC Health Choice Handbook, English version and the 2004 NC Health Choice Hanbook, Spanish version are now online at the DMA web site. In February, the Handbooks were mailed to families whose children are enrolled in NC Health Choice.

This year we have used the cover of the NC Health Choice Handbook to convey an educational message on how to "Make the Most of Your NC Health Choice Benefit!"

The five-step process outlined encourages families to:

  1. Choose a doctor.
  2. Make an appointment for a well child check.
  3. Call the doctor anytime, but especially before going to the emergency room.
  4. Read the handbook and learn about NC Health Choice’s benefits and resources.
  5. Re-enroll next year!

Kudos to Judy Arneson with the NC Healthy Start Foundation for designing a cover and message that helps families take advantage of the benefits that NC Health Choice can offer their children!
